“As her parents, we have decided to keep her love alive
by helping make our world a better place to live,” the couple said. “The TLC
to Earth campaign encourages everyone to make a difference by thinking global
and starting local. Recycling is the easiest way to get started. We want to
encourage people to make this a family project.”
The organizers of TLC to Earth hope to reach as many people
as possible with the campaign, with the main message to make the Earth a better
place for future children.
Thus far, donations have been coming in at a generous pace. The
couple is hopeful that the campaign will raise funds to build a kid-friendly
recycled playground at Caldwell Pioneer Acres. The playground will be named
Tobi
Land.
“Tobi changed our lives and many others' with all the
love she had to share. This playground will provide hours and hours of fun and
safe activities for lots of children now and in the future,” the couple said.
In early August of this year, the Coon and Decker families
were enjoying quality time exploring the grounds at Caldwell Pioneer Acres, the
new home of the Pioneer Engineers Club of Indiana, Inc. During a hayride on an
antique wagon and a Rumely Oil Pull, tragedy struck when the Oil Pull was
climbing up an incline. Seconds into the climb the oil pull jumped out of gear
and rolled backwards. With no other choice, the family jumped off the wagon.
Baby Tobi was strapped on her grandma, and they both tumbled under the wagon and
engine. Tobi’s tiny body did not survive the accident, and their mother
suffered a head injury and was taken by Air E-Vac to
Indianapolis
and is healing well.

Here is Tobi Land - thank you TLC to Earth!
