PROJECTS!

Batesville Power Plant - The Hillenbrand Foundation has donated the old steam-operated power plant that generated power for the city of Batesville, Indiana to the Pioneer Engineers Club.  We are currently raising funds to have a building placed on the grounds to house this huge engine.  One way we are raising money is by offering the opportunity to name a road on the grounds after your family or your favorite line of equipment.  Most of the roads are available for a $1,000.00 donation.  The main roadways are $2,500.00 each.  Several of the roads have been named already, so don't miss out.  You'll want to make sure your favorite brand doesn't get left out!  Please contact Eric Hurst at 812-623-3003 or email him at erhurst@yahoo.com for more information.

Feature Tractor Building - We are considering reserving the tractor area east of the covered bridge and next to the main drive for featured equipment.  Tractor director, Mark Dieckmann, has put forth an idea to build a permanent structure in this area instead of renting a tent each year. Contact Mark with your feedback or if you can help with construction or contribute a donation or loan for this project: markndawn@etczone.com .  We have also done some leveling in the area east and north of the sawmill which will allow for more efficient use of space for steam, tractor, and working exhibits.

There has been a good response to the memorial benches available that are being placed on the grounds. Several are already in place, and more are being constructed as orders come in.  The benches have concrete legs with a treated lumber seat and backrest with engraving in the backrest. These are solid as it gets and long-lasting. The cost is $200.00, and we build and place it for you.   Mail check to Pioneer Engineers Club, PO Box 536, Rushville, IN 46173.  Include the name of the person you want engraved on the bench.  Proceeds go to Heritage Tool Works.

We are also selling button-down shirts as a fundraiser for Heritage Tool Works.  100% quality blue cotton denim, short-sleeved with the words Heritage Tool Works and a vintage lathe embroidered on the chest. $30 for sizes S, M, L, XL.  $35 for XXL.  Shipping is $5.00 - continental US only.  Makes a great gift!  Make checks payable to Pioneer Engineers Club and mail to PO Box 536, Rushville, IN 46173. Contact us for more information.
