2008 Reunion

Our first reunion at Caldwell Pioneer Acres (our 60th overall)
was well attended and blessed with perfect weather. We received
overwhelming positive feedback about our new grounds and facilities. The
feature was Indiana-made equipment this year and for the first time were able to
demonstrate plowing with Don and Ann Atzinger's Avery lift plow. Many
thanks to our workers, exhibitors, and visitors for making this show a success.

Plowing - David Hubbell on Farmall, Mark Schrank on Hart Parr,
Larry Hansel on Case tractor, Ted Moorman & Tracy Porter (Jaimy Porter, Don Atzinger,
and Mark Corson on ground) on Case steam engine (photos by Mark Dieckmann)

Gas
Engine Area - nice shady area to enjoy the great variety of displays

Craftsmen:
Airl Coffey with ladders in bottles and Harry Hartman making brooms

Tractor
activities - shingle mill and rock crusher and plowing

Shots
from our steam engine area - a thick cloud of smoke from an engine on the Baker
fan rises above the water tank,
Trabel's solo attempt at the block race,
the Vaughn engine-start-up, and, "Gentlemen, let's have a parade"
(among others)

Threshing

Tractor

will be back for the Case Expo next year

We
had a nice exhibit of antique vehicles

shots - coins in the straw, relaxing on the big porch, Catholic Mass service,
plow field, trusty water truck, etc.
